Learn more about Teddy as a performer

Theodora Siegel is an operatic soprano & multi-hyphenate creative whose impact extends far beyond the stage. Celebrated for using her voice as both an instrument of beauty and a catalyst for social change, Teddy leads with bold imagination and authentic storytelling in all of her endeavors.

From solo appearances at Carnegie Hall to performing an operatic aria live on the runway at New York Fashion Week, Teddy has brought her voice to unexpected and unforgettable stages. Most recently, she performed in a historic castle in Hungary as part of a genre-defying trio with world-renowned pianist Maxim Lando and acclaimed operatic tenor Toby Bradford. Together, the trio has enchanted audiences with their dynamic programs, bridging classical and contemporary repertoire in performances that span from iconic New York venues to grand European halls.

Teddy hosted and headlined "When Nature Calls", a sold-out Got2Go concert at the Huntington Summer Arts Festival in collaboration with the Oyster Bay Music Festival. Hailed as a “true tour de force," the show featured a stunning lineup of classical and contemporary pieces, including Teddy’s own "spectacular" (Huntington Now) rendition of the Queen of the Night aria. The performance broke the fourth wall with humor and humanity, all while maintaining an artistic caliber worthy of the world’s most prestigious halls.

Recent operatic roles include Linfea (La Calisto), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), and a featured role in On Site Opera’s immersive production of Il tabarro. Teddy was a soloist in the Mannes Sounds Festival's world premiere of Echoes from the Darkness, a chamber opera by John Califra. At Opera UCLA, she performed Proserpine (La Descente d’Orphée aux Enfers) and originated roles in the world premieres of Janice Hamer’s Lost Childhood, Mikel Klein’s Akeidah, and Carla Lucero’s Juana. She made her European debut as Echo in Ariadne auf Naxos with the Trentino Music Festival. Recent musical theater roles include Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins), Emma (Jekyll & Hyde), and Shadow (In the Green). Teddy earned a Bachelor of Music degree from UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music and a Master of Music from Mannes School of Music at The New School under the tutelage of Arthur Levy.

In addition to singing, Teddy is also an accomplished actor and dancer. She is an alumn of the People's Improv Theater in NYC and is trained in ballet, jazz, and modern dance. She spent two summers training with American Ballet Theater while under the instruction of Lynch Ballet. Teddy has most recently worked with Director/Choreographer Sean McKnight and Choreographer Violeta Picayo

Beyond the stage, Teddy is also known for her widely read column, Diva Diaries, in Classical Singer Magazine; every month she shares candid insights and advice on navigating life as an artist. Her words have also been featured in The New York Times, Gothamist and her Substack newsletter, Threads of Love.

Teddy also harnesses her influence on social media to drive large-scale change through her platform, Got2Go. What began as a grass-roots mission to make public bathrooms more accessible has grown into a vibrant community of over half a million followers and the most widely used Google Map in the world. Her advocacy has directly contributed to the introduction and passage of major bathroom legislation aimed at improving everyday life for all New Yorkers. Got2Go's impact has been celebrated in The New York Times, TIME Magazine, The Kelly Clarkson Show and more.
